St Matthew’s church was blessed and opened by Bishop Bede Polding in 1840. It is the oldest Catholic Church in continual use on the Australian mainland.
Previous generations of parishioners have made generous contributions to support the parish over the years, bequeathing to us today the special building in which we gather for worship.
To raise funds to continue this stewardship into the future parishioners past and present are invited to commemorate a former parishioner or parishioners, whether relatives, lay people, priests or religious who have been associated with the parish over the years.
An engraved plaque 145mm x 45mm can be placed on the aisle end of a pew for a price of $350.
If you would like to participate, please contact the parish office at windsor@parracatholic.org and submit your proposed wording for approval, along with payment. The parish will arrange the engraving and installation.
